Most countries now have compulsory training imposed on them by their governments before firearms can be purchased or used in hunting or shooting sport situations.
England, Scotland, Ireland and Greece do not have this restriction.
The voluntary education of stalkers though DMQ Deer Management Qualifications in the form of Deer Stalking Certificates DSC Level 1 & 2 strongly show the government that we are successfully self-governing our shooting professions and recreations/sports.
The success of the scheme together with codes of practice (available through BASC - stalking & shooting) will be hugely beneficial in staving off compulsory education and government restrictions.
If the government does choose to implement compulsory education then the successful DMQ scheme would be almost certainly be adopted. |
